Each therapist has his or her own theories of choice and clinical style. My style is collaborative, interactive and focused on your immediate needs.
My approach comes from cognitive (learn how to manage your thoughts, rather than your thoughts manage you), behavioral (repeating the same thing over and over again won't necessarily make you feel any different), and family systems (the family is always changing, self-organizing and adapting to its members and the outside environment. Problems often arise when old patterns don't keep up with the changes.)
Since each of my clients is unique, I may also employ techniques from other theories as well. Theories are only guesses on how people change, so having a well-stocked arsenal of these theories on hand enables me to tailor my therapy to my clients' needs.
